Cherry Mobile Superion Frontier Is an Octa Core Tablet with 7 Inch IPS Screen!

Cherry Mobile Superion Frontier

In typical Cherry Mobile fashion, the pioneering local brand released a brand new brochure for the Christmas season that revealed a slew of new products. Lost in this maelstrom of new budget-friendly tech was the Cherry Mobile Superion Frontier, a 7 inch tablet that just so happened to pack an octa-core CPU, an IPS disay, and a whopping 16GB of storage?

On top of that, this is coming from Cherry Mobile’s Superion series of tablets, so you know that this thing comes with call and text capability, not to mention support for mobile data, meaning you can browse the internet on the Superion Frontier without having to be tethered to a WiFi hotspot?

So how much does this baby cost? How does a cool Php8,999 sound? Of course, it does seem to have a downside. It only packs a 3,300mAh battery, which is on the low side for a 7 inch tablet, especially when you consider this is an octa-core tablet we’re talking about. Still, the Php9k price tag is looking pretty attractive, particularly since the closest competing alternative retails for Php3k more while packing the exact same specs.

  1. Saw this tablet at Metropoint Pasay. I love the form factor. Di sya bulky. Di ko lang napansin kung may OTG capability ito.

      1. Yup, at MetroPoint Pasay. There’s a Cherry Mobile store at the 2nd floor, beside LBC. They had 4 stocks available that time. Black and white are the only colors available. I was tempted to buy one kaso baba ng battery capacity. I got to hold the unit and it wasn’t heavy and it didn’t look cheap.
