LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE

Normally, I associate styli (or styluses, whatever) with that other South Korean electronics giant, but the recently announced LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE appears to take a page from its rival’s playbook and comes with a stylus of its own. Just saying its name is a mouthful, but it does come equipped with some decent specs that won’t leave users wanting.

The G Pad II 8.3 LTE sports an 8.3 inch Full HD 1200 x 1920 display, giving it an aspect ratio that’s more ideal for portrait mode. It’s driven by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip and comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also comes with LTE support (if it wasn’t obvious from the name), as well as Android 5.1.1 Lollipop running out of the box.

The LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE comes a bit short of being a premium tablet, but it should still satisfy the needs of most users. No news yet on pricing or when it will be offered outside of China.

Back when I started MobileTechPinoy in 2012, phablets weren't a thing yet. I enjoyed the stares I got from iPhone owners whenever I whipped out my Samsung Galaxy Note at the time. I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
