Qube QuadCore PhoneTab: An Affordable iPad Mini Lookalike with Phone and 3G Capabilities

Qube QuadCore PhoneTab

If you’re looking for an affordable tablet that does it all, you might want to take a look at the upcoming Qube QuadCore PhoneTab. The QuadCore PhoneTab is a fairly well-specced tablet, featuring an 8 inch HD (800 x 1280) PLS display from Samsung, a 1.2GHz A7 quad core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. And if you didn’t catch it from the name, it also supports 3G data and telephony functions.

The design looks fairly premium and it’s actually pretty thin at 8.7mm. While it does resemble the iPad Mini, there are other 8 inch tablets that rip it off more blatantly. If you’re looking to grab one, it’s due out in February at an introductory price of Php6,999. You can also buy it on credit (6 months, 0%). Either way, you’ll get a free leather case for it.

  1. Finally, a new post to energize me. I really hope direct to SD install is enabled on this one. And OTG too. December came and passed, and I’m still tablet-less at this point.

  2. I’m using this now and I’ve convinced two other friends to buy for themselves too. I honestly think that this is an excellent buy for the price tag.

    1. awesome! yeah, the price is really hard to beat. hope you can give us a bit of feedback on the phonetab after a few days 🙂

  3. I don’t do formal reviews. But here’s a bit of info. The tab is pure jellybean with no bloatwares. It’s very responsive and runs very smoothly. The camera is so-so, but that I don’t mind at all since it’s not my priority for a tab. Two of the best things about it is that connection through cellular data is fast and the battery life is great. It lasts me more than 10 hours with moderate use and continuous connection to mobile data. Plus the phone stays quite cool even when being used as mobile hotspot. I don’t think you’d find a tablet with the same price that can match the specs of this one. Seriously. And for the record, I am not connected to QUBE in whatever way. 🙂 Hope that helps.

  4. Oh! I forgot to add.. One thing that might make others think twice before buying this is that, due to its architecture, there are some games that are not compatible with it. Candy Crush is an example.

  5. How about the reasons,if there are, why this phone tab should not be bought? Because I am really inclined to buy one it’s just that I am not so much of a technology literate and I really cannot comprehend much of the “language of technology”. And if you have the budget, will you buy this one? Thank you.

    1. 1. Lack of support for upgrades-since it’s not from a big-named brand, don’t expect OS updates
      2. Uncertainty- I mean I like the product now but I can’t say that it will last long or anything simply because there’s nothing from the past to compare it to.

      1. Thank you so such a big help for me. Likewise, games aren’t of big deal for me. Reading is my priority. But for those who wanted to buy one go ahead and don’t be discouraged. Maybe it wasn’t for me. Thanks again and more power.

        1. You might wanna give it a “try”… And it’s actually a good device for reading because the form factor allows for one-handed operation. Plus I saw in Qube’ FB page that they have a 14-day money back guarantee. They say that if yu are not happy with it for any reason, as long as there are no scratches on the device, you can return it within 14 days.
