Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 gets Jelly Bean 4.1.1 Update

While the Nexus 7 took its sweet time coming to the Philippines, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 made a very compelling alternative, even offering a few things the Nexus 7 didn’t, like expandable storage. However it only game with ICS 4.0 out of the box, and now that the Nexus 7 is officially here, some of you Galaxy Tab 2 owners might be kicking yourself in the butt for jumping the gun and missing out on all that buttery smooth goodness that Jelly Bean 4.1 has to offer. Well, kick yourself no more, as the official Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update is just around the corner. The update has already started rolling out in France and should start rolling out to other territories in the coming days and weeks so keep checking for OTA updates or updates through Kies.

Back when I started MobileTechPinoy in 2012, phablets weren't a thing yet. I enjoyed the stares I got from iPhone owners whenever I whipped out my Samsung Galaxy Note at the time. I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
