Cherry Prepaid 799 Flare Bundle Gives You a Smartphone, Free Load and Data!

Cherry Mobile Flare Lite 2

Leave it to Cherry Mobile to rain on MyPhone’s parade. Shortly after MyPhone revealed a partnership with Smart to offer the My28 for a one-time cash-out of just Php888, Cherry Mobile announced their own offering with the the 799 Flare Bundle. Similar to the Smart My28 bundle, the Cherry Prepaid 799 Flare bundle comes with a Cherry Mobile Flare Lite 2, and a bunch of freebies!

So how does it work? For just a one-time Php799, you get a smartphone serviceable enough entry level Android handset with a 4” WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad core processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB internal storage. The device comes equipped with rear and front cameras (5mp/VGA), 1,400mAh battery, and runs KitKat 4.4.

On top of the smartphone, you get a Cherry Prepaid SIM, which is powered by Globe. Naturally, you get access to all of Globe’s prepaid promos and services, but you can now also take advantage of promos that are specific only to Cherry Prepaid subscribers, such as CMSURF10 (30MB data for 1 day) and CM365 (keeps your SIM from expiring for 1 year).

What’s remarkable though are the freebies considering how affordable the handset alone already is. You get free 120MB of data per month for a whole year, free 50 texts to all networks for 2 days, and free Facebook for 2 days. Also, for the first 3 months, you get Php10 in load per month regardless if you’ve topped up for that month!

If you’re itching to get your hands on this awesome deal, it’s important to take a look at the fine print as well. First, the Cherry Prepaid SIM that comes with the phone is sealed into its SIM slot. You can take the seal off if you want to use another SIM, but you’ll void the warranty. You probably won’t need to though since it’s a dual SIM phone. Second, while the free Php10 bonus load you get for the first 3 months doesn’t require you to top up, the 120MB monthly data does require you to top up at least Php10 for each of those months.

With all that in mind, do you guys think the Cherry Prepaid 799 Flare Bundle is a good deal? Let me know in the comments.
