About a week ago, friend and founder of NoypiGeeks.com dropped his Lumia 520 from a height of 5 feet without leaving any ill effects on his phone. Now, in an even more epic exhibition of the fabled durability that has been inherited among generations of Nokia phones, a Lumia 800 appears to have survived being a drop into a lake and being left there for 3 and a half months. Even more surprising is it even works fine!
The owner of the Nokia Lumia 800, a Swedish man by the name of Roger Nillson, was able to retrieve the device and after cleaning the algae off and letting it dry on top of a radiator, was able to get the device to boot normally! Roger even said:
Everything works just like before, the camera is great, and battery life is two days and so on.
So there you have it. The Nokia Lumia 800 can survive months in frigid waters. Now if only it can be upgraded to Windows Phone 8.
