Galaxy Mega Plus Unveiled in China with Upgraded Quad Core CPU

Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus

It seems that Samsung has taken to upgrading their existing mid-tier lineup and simply fitting them with faster processors and other incremental upgrades. The recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus is a perfect example, essentially coming with an upgraded 1.2GHz quad core processor versus the 1.4GHz dual core chip of the original Galaxy Mega 5.8.

Other specs remain the same, so you’ll be getting the same 5.8″ qHD 540 x 960 screen, 8mp rear camera, 1.9mp front camera, and 2,600mAh battery. It also supports dual SIM functionality for those who like to use different SIMs for different situations or contacts. Right now, there’s no news whether we’ll be seeing the Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus outside of China, but with the Philippines being a popular market for dual SIM phones, it won’t be a surprise if it did.
