Torque-MatibayNaBayan

With the Philippine elections looming large, it’s encouraging to see that many of our local phone brands are doing their part to educate fans before they cast their votes. Torque Mobile, the country’s leading brand when it comes to Android tablets is one good example, with their #MatibayNaBayan online campaign launching alongside their newly redesigned website. #MatibayNaBayan aims to spur more involvement from Filipinos in the election process, ensuring a productive election through responsible voting.

The campaign has already gone live with Torque brand ambassador, ABRA, a local rap artist and celebrity. In case you’ve already been seeing the campaign’s post on Torque’s Facebook page, that’s his face on many of the posts along with the tagline “Makieksena. Makinig. Makibahagi.” In addition, Torque will be raffling off 21 Torque EGO One smartphones to further encourage people to share their opinions of the current crop of presidentiables.

To launch the campaign, Torque Mobile began the conversation on April 15th with #EgoBagsakan so people can share their thoughts about #MatibayNaBayan. One part of the campaign will consist of posts on their Facebook page calling for fans and followers to describe their favorite candidate. They will also be quotes pulled from the recently-concluded presidential debates and a campaign-long Q&A conversation where you can guess which presidential candidate they are from. Participants will get a chance to win one of 21 EGO One smartphones for each day of the Q&A conversation.

Another part of the campaign involves ABRA himself where he will be facilitating a live Facebook conversation with fans and followers. Torque Mobile and ABRA will select 10 winners of EGO One smartphones through a raffle based on who participated in the discussion. These 10 winners will also be able to speak their mind through a quick video produced by Torque on who they think should be our next president.

This is your time to be heard so visit Torque Mobile’s Facebook page today. You can also get updates through #MatibayNaBayan or by going to their website at Torque.ph.
