These days, bags are much more gadget-friendly, featuring more pockets and compartments to accommodate are laptops, tablets, smartphones, and everything in between. Accessing those compartments and pockets can be a hassle though, but the new North Face Access Pack eliminates the hassle by popping open with the press of a single button. That way, you can easily access your gadgets without having to fumble with any zippers, clasps, or anything else of the like.

The North Face Access Pack essentially replaces what would normally be a zipper at the top of the backpack with a panel and a spring-loaded locking mechanism. Pressing a button releases the mechanism and the panel simply pops open so you can quickly store your books, water bottles, and other large items. In addition to the quick access main compartment, there’s also a more conventional zippered compartment in front. Interestingly enough, this is where your notebook is supposed to go. Thankfully, this compartment is a little tougher to open for security purposes.

As awesome as the North Face Access Pack is, it’s also quite pricey at $235 or about Php11k after straight conversion. Obviously, having been just announced, it hasn’t reached Philippine shores yet. When it does though, expect the price to go up a little to make up for import duties. Hopefully, it won’t be too expensive as it should appeal to a lot of gadget lovers out there.
