With as many awesome and affordable locally branded smartphones there are, it’s easy for me to forget that international brands can surprise us with something equally awesome. And in the case of the Huawei Y6 Pro, potentially affordable as well. The newly announced handset didn’t come with an attached price tag, but there’s good reason to believe it should be within reach of the average Juan.
The Y6 Pro comes equipped with an adequate 5 inch HD screen and 1.3GHz MT6735 quad core processor to drive everything. 2GB RAM aids multitasking and should be good enough for the casual user, while there’s an ample 16GB of storage with support for an extra 128GB via microSD. It even comes with 4G/LTE radios and a massive 4,000mAh battery to keep you going for up to 2 days on a charge!
The Huawei Y6 Pro should eventually get here since it’s actually the international version of the China-bound Enjoy 5. However, there’s no word on local pricing or availability yet, so we’ll just have to stay tuned for the Philippine release.
