Cherry Mobile recently posted a couple of teasers on their Facebook page for what should be their next 2.0 phone. Curious to know what’s next? Well courtesy of Cherry Angel, a dealer and trusted source of past leaks, it was revealed to me in a private conversation to be the Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0.
The Blaze 2.0 was earlier revealed on Cherry Mobile’s Thailand website along with a few other new 2.0 refreshes of their Android lineup. Now, it looks like it’s finally arriving on our shores and it’s a formidable phone indeed. The Cherry Mobile Blaze 2.0 is a drastic jump over its predecessor, not just in specs, but in screen size.
It sports a monstrous 5.7 inch HD IPS touchscreen display, a 1.2GHz quad core processor, 1Gb of RAM and 4Gb ROM. Save for the large screen, the configuration looks to be on par with the latest wave of locally-branded phones that have been hitting the market. One thing that should be especially interesting though is that it sports dual BSI cameras, a 12mp shooter on the back and a 3mp shooter on the front. Certainly something to look forward to when it hits retailer shelves.
