Starmobile Engage 7i Call and Text Tablet Unveiled Packing Intel Atom X3

Starmobile Engage 7i

Thanks to low cost SoCs, 7 inch call and text tablets have become super affordable in recent years. The newly unveiled Starmobile Engage 7i is one good example, packing decent specs, call and text capability, and a Php3,990 price tag. So what are you getting for the money.

The Engage 7i packs a 7 inch WSVGA display and comes with a 1GHz Intel Atom X3 quad core processor, 1GB RAM and a whopping 16GB of internal storage. If you find the built-in storage to be lacking, you can expand it further via microSD up to 32GB. Interestingly enough, you’re also getting Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, as well as a 3,000mah battery.

The Starmobile Engage 7i isn’t the most affordable call and text tablet on the block, but it doesn’t make too many compromises, giving you a decent screen and a whopping amount of storage for the money.

Back when I started MobileTechPinoy in 2012, phablets weren't a thing yet. I enjoyed the stares I got from iPhone owners whenever I whipped out my Samsung Galaxy Note at the time. I'm much more budget-conscious these days though and am perfectly fine with using phones from any of our locally brands.
