Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite to Arrive in January 2014

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite

The market is flooded with crazy low-priced tablets, but all of them are either Chinese tablets or from our local brands. That might change though as Samsung has plans of introducing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite some time during the second week of January next year. The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will bear the model number SM-T11 and should be the most affordable Galaxy tablet ever.

There’s no specific news on specs just yet, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is expected to be a 7 inch tablet and will come in 3G/WiFi and WiFi-only variants. The WiFi-only variant in Cream White will hit the international market first in the second week of January. This will be followed by the Cream White 3G/WiFi variant in week three. Finally, both variants will get an Ebony Black option in week four of January and week 2 of February respectively.

Keep in mind that these are just leaks and should be taken with a grain of salt. The launch dates of the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite are said to be tentative, but SamMobile is fairly confident in their insider source. Pricing is exciting though. The WiFi-only variant shouldn’t retail more than 100 Euros or roughly Php6,000 after straight conversion. Would you pick up the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite or stick with a better-specced tablet from a local brand at the same price?
