If you’re a fan of the iPad Air’s design but would rather have an Android tablet, the Onda V919 3G Air could be an option for you. It’s an iPad Air clone that not only runs Android, but has 3G connectivity as well. What’s even more interesting is that the V919 3G Air dual boots between Android 4.4 KitKat and Windows 8.1! Holy cow!
The goodies don’t stop there. You’re getting a 9.7 inch 1536 x 2048 display, 2.16GHz 64-bit Intel Bay Trail-T Z3736F quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and a whopping 64GB of built-in storage. All that wrapped in an aluminum unibody that shamelessly mimics the iPad Air.
The Onda V919 3G Air sells in China for about $193 or Php8.5k after straight conversion. Although Onda doesn’t have an official presence here, there are a number of local importers that carry the brand. Just don’t expect it to retail for the same price though. Perhaps Php10k would be a safer bet after import duties, which is still a nice price point for an iPad alternative.
