Vivo Xplay5 Now Official with a Whopping 6GB RAM!

Vivo Xplay5

4GB RAM smartphones and tablets have been around for a while, but it’s taken a surprising amount of time for devices with even more RAM to hit the market. That changes now though as the Vivo Xplay5 has just been officially announced in China with a whopping 6GB RAM! With that much RAM, the Xplay5 will be able to keep more apps open so you can multitask with ease!

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Lookalike

Now, the Vivo Xplay5 is actually launching in two variants. The standard Flagship Edition (3,698 yuan/Php26.6k) will be powered by a Snapdragon 652 SoC and comes with a still impressive 4GB RAM. The awesome Ultimate Edition (4,288 yuan/Php30.9k) though will come with the more powerful Snapdragon 820 SoC and the jaw-dropping 6GB of RAM.

Whichever variant you decide to get, the rest of the phone’s specs is going to turn heads. For starters, the Xplay 5 sports a 5.43 inch QHD dual-edge Super AMOLED display, similar to the one found on the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It will come with 128GB of internal storage as well as a 3,600mAh battery, USB Type-C, and a 16mp/8mp camera setup.

Unfortunately, Vivo doesn’t have a presence here in the Philippines and a quick search on Lazada or OLX won’t turn up any local importers either. Still, if you’re itching to get it, there should be some international channels you guys can try. Just take note though that the Vivo Xplay5 is unlikely to be a more affordable S7 Edge alternative as there aren’t any specific features designed for the dual-edge curved screen.
