The ASUS Transformer Pad TF701 was quietly announced for the Philippine market today in a press release that was sent out to the media. It’s one of the more premium Android tablets to hit the market recently, featuring a durable metallic design that is just 8.9mm thick and weighs just 585g. The included keyboard dock that is a trademark of the ASUS Transformer series also comes with a built-in battery, giving the Transformer Pad TF701 a near-unbeatable 17 hour battery life when docked.

The new Asus Transformer Pad TF701 certainly isn’t a slouch when it comes to specs. It features a 10.1 inch WQXGA IPS display (2560 x 1600 resolution) that’s capable of producing extraordinarily sharp images and great color reproduction even at wide angles.
