ASUS Padfone Infinity Lite Unveiled with 10.1 Inch Tablet Dock and Snapdragon 600

ASUS Padfone Infinity Lite

Some of you may recall the Padfone Infinity, ASUS‘ Snapdragon 800-powered 5 inch smartphone that docked into a 10.1 tablet dock. It was ridiculously powerful, but also ridiculously expensive. So if you’re looking to save a bit on that kind of setup, the more affordable ASUS Padfone Infinity Lite might be more to your liking.

The Lite version essentially has the same specs as the original Padfone Infinity. The phone itself has a 5 inch Full HD IPS display, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and 2,400mAh battery. The tablet dock has a 10.1 inch Full HD screen and 5,000mAh battery. The only thing that differs between the Padfone Infinity Lite and the original Padfone Infinity is that the Lite has a slower Snapdragon 600 while the original has a Snapdragon 800 processor.

Since ASUS can be a bit selective about which models they release outside of Taiwan, we can’t be sure if the Padfone Infinity will be sold internationally, let alone the Philippines. However, ASUS plans to price it at about $700 in Taiwan, so that’s around Php30k after straight conversion and possibly about Php40k after import dues. That’s assuming it actually does make it here.
