It’s been a good week for leaks lately, at least when it comes to Cherry Mobile. It appears that Cherry Mobile SM North Edsa posted a pic of the Titan TV‘s box on their Facebook page. Fortunately, that shot of the box has revealed more of the important details of the Cherry Mobile Titan TV. Take a look.

Those of you who have already heard about the Cherry Mobile Titan TV (thanks to Edriangelo’s leak from a couple of days ago) were likely wondering what the battery capacity would be for this mother of a phablet. From the box, we now know that in addition to sporting a 6 inch WVGA screen, 4Gb ROM, an 8mp camera w/ flash and ICS 4.0 out of the box, it will also come with 1Gb of RAM. That’s right. The local smartphone market now has an affordable Android smartphone that has broken through the 512Mb RAM barrier. Hooray!
That’s not all. One thing that the box doesn’t mention about the Cherry Mobile Titan TV is the battery capacity, which I’m sure a lot of you are curious about. Well, it just so happens that Cherry Mobile SM North EDSA did mention something about that in the description of the photo post as well. Click on the image below to enlarge to see what it is ๐
Unfortunately, while the battery might seem larger than most people are accustomed to, powering a 6 inch screen is no joke, and the Cherry Mobile Titan TV will likely find itself running out of juice faster than either the original Titan or Omega will. Just how fast is anyone’s guess at the moment so you guys will just have to wait for the local tech blogs to come out with reviews on the Titan TV.
Based on the page views of the individual posts that I made out of Edriangelo’s leaked flyer photos of the Burst, Thunder and Titan TV, it appears that the Titan TV is attracting the least attention. However to me, it is easily the most intriguing device in this upcoming mini-wave of Cherry Mobile Android phones. That 6 inch screen will easily lend itself to a better experience while reading messages, watching videos and browsing the web, but that low WVGA resolution will mean the onscreen images won’t be as sharp and it will also be too large to fit into the average Filipino pocket. That 8mp camera is another thing to look forward to, and if it takes shots that are as good as the Cruize, great, but if they’re as bad as the original Titan, not so great. Finally, that 1Gb of RAM is something that many Pinoy smartphone buyers have been clamoring for, and the Titan TV is currently the only locally branded smartphone to come with that much RAM (please correct me if I’m wrong in the comments below). And did I mention it has a TV?
So what do you guys think? Are you going to get the Cherry Mobile Titan TV?
